Interamerican Village: A setting that transforms the scout experience at JamCam 2025 Cali

The Interamerican Village of JamCam 2025 Cali transforms the scout experience by offering activities that integrate learning, creativity and values, promoting personal development and commitment to a better world.

The JamCam 2025 Cali Interamerican Village is an interactive space to strengthen personal and community development through teamwork activities (active participation tag), concentration and leadership, which are aligned with the better world framework and vision 2030.

What activities does the Interamerican Village of JamCam 2025 have?

The Interamerican Village has educational and recreational activities, where young scouts have the opportunity to combine innovation, well-being, environmental awareness, creation and personal development. Some of the activities are:

  • Lego activities such as large-scale Lego brick construction, robotic Lego assembly and Lego racing tracks
  • Relaxation activities such as mandala art, drawing and painting on posters and yoga
  • Introduction of the better world framework such as ‘Earth Tribute’, ‘WWF’, ‘scouts for the SDGs’, among others
  • Dynamics to learn about culture in Cali with a talent show, “Caliwood” to learn about cinema in Cali, biodiversity in Cali with fauna and flora observation and talent show

How did participants feel about this experience in the Interamerican Village?

We had the opportunity to interview people who participated in the Interamerican Village at JamCam 2025 Cali, Melissa Vasquez as an accompanying adult said “I think the Interamerican Village is very interesting, it teaches the kids several activities on how to get out of the routine, take care of their health; the SDGs topic teaches them how to manage projects and how to encourage initiatives and scout programs” and Maria del Mar Cansario as a Jamboree participant said “I went through the Interamerican Village and I loved the activities, how they focus on the SDGs, how they make you explore topics through playful activities and the one I liked the most was the Yoga activity”

All activities in the Interamerican Village aimed to teach and encourage young people to participate in the better world framework and ‘vision 2030’, creatively participants obtained signatures to fill the passport and achieve the recognition badge.
