Happy New Year 2026, the new year arrives at JamCam 2025 Cali
JamCam 2025 Cali participants bid farewell to the year together, each country does the countdown during the celebration event, while the subcamps present their Old Year dolls they built.
The JamCam 2025 Cali year-end event was full of laughter, cultural performances, music, and scout brotherhood. During this night, the subcamps presented their Old Year dolls, which were assembled by the boys and girls of the camp, as a way to include the invited countries in the traditions of Colombian families.
The night had a specific dress code, the children, youth, and adults who participated in the party wore white clothing to welcome the new year 2026. The December 31 celebration featured 4 animators who kept the energy high with musical support and representative dances.
How was the new year received by each contingent?
During the evening party, a countdown was held for each country, participants from the nations invited to the event were able to bid farewell to 2025 and welcome the new year from their country’s time zone. During the day, the Old Year farewells began with guests from Australia and ended in the evening with Mexico, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Honduras, El Salvador, and Guatemala.
The countdown was full of emotions, all the boys, girls, and adults who participated in the celebration were able to say goodbye to the year together with their scout brothers and sisters, during each countdown it was possible to learn a bit about each culture, where each country had the opportunity to share their traditions during these dates.
Were there special guests at the JamCam 2025 Cali Old Year celebration?
In the midst of the year-end celebration, JamCam 2025 Cali received a visit from Diana Carrillo, Regional Director of the World Scout Bureau, who in a brief greeting encouraged all participants, informing and motivating them about future events that will be held at the regional and world level, where she highlighted the importance that this type of camps has for children, youth, and young people in the movement and the unity it has among the countries of the world.

This year-end successfully represents the unity of the scout movement, where regardless of borders, differences, and distance from loved ones during these dates, the movement comes together with the goal of leaving a great experience in its participants and continuing to believe in Americas United for Peace.
